Anti-snipe tax
The anti-snipe tax is an extra fee on curve purchases in the first few blocks after a launch. It discourages bots that buy the instant a token appears. It is off by default.
When it applies
The protocol owner decides whether new launches have the tax and for how many blocks. The default length, when it is on, is 3 blocks. The maximum is 60. Each launch keeps the setting it was created with, and it cannot be changed afterwards.
The tax applies only to curve purchases. Sales and pool trades never pay it.
How much it costs
The total fee starts at 99% in the launch's first block and falls quickly to the normal fee. With a 1% base fee, no creator tax and a 3-block window:

The extra fee is shared between the protocol and the creator in the same way as the base fee. See Fees.
Who is exempt
These addresses pay only the normal fees during the window:
- The address that created the launch.
- The creator recipient at the time of launch.
- Up to 32 addresses the creator listed when launching.
The list is fixed at launch. Transferring creator rights later does not change it.
