Fee escrow and claims
The fee escrow holds every fee GAMA collects and records who each amount belongs to, until it is claimed.
How it works
When a fee is charged, it is added to the escrow and credited to its recipients straight away. Nothing is paid out automatically at trade time. Each recipient claims their own balance when they want to.
Balances are kept separately for every token, so a creator with fees in ETH and in another pair token sees two balances.
Who can claim what
| Balance | Who claims it |
|---|---|
| Creator fees and creator tax | The creator recipient at the time the fee was charged |
| Creator buyback funds | Only the creator buyback process, to buy and vest the creator's token |
| Protocol share | Each protocol revenue destination, in its share |
| Holder rewards | Holders, through the token's reward system. See Holder rewards |
| Payout charges | The payout operations address |
Only the owner of a balance can claim it. When claiming ETH, you can choose to receive it as wrapped ETH (WETH) instead.
Safety
If a claim cannot be delivered, the whole claim is cancelled and the balance stays where it was. Nobody else can take it.
The escrow has no function that lets anyone, including the protocol owner, withdraw or redirect balances that belong to someone else.
