Orders

GAMA orders let you set up a trade in advance: a limit order that fills at your price, or a regular purchase spread over time (dollar-cost averaging, or DCA).

Order types

  • Limit order. Buy or sell once the price is good enough. It can fill in parts, and every part must meet your price.
  • DCA order. Buy a fixed amount at regular intervals until your budget is spent. Missed intervals are not made up later.

Every order has a start time and an end time. When the end time passes, anyone can close the order, and the unspent funds go back to you.

Funding

An order is funded in full when you place it. Your funds are held in a personal order vault that only you and the order system can use. If you hold reward-mode tokens in your vault, their rewards belong to you.

Fees

There is no order fee. Each fill pays the normal trading fees of the pools it goes through.

Orders can also carry a small gas balance that you add yourself. It pays whoever carries out your order for their network cost on each successful fill. You set a maximum charge per fill, and any gas balance left over is returned when the order finishes or is cancelled. Failed attempts are never charged to you.

Managing an order

You can change an order's minimum price and end time, pause and resume it, or cancel it at any time. Cancelling returns the remaining funds. Anyone can close an order after its end time, which returns the funds to you.

Nobody else can change or cancel your orders. The order system has no administrator.

GAMA is deployed on GIWA Sepolia testnet only. Nothing in this documentation is an offer or financial advice.
