Glossary
Every term used in these docs, in plain words, from A to Z. Each entry links to the article that explains it in full.
Anti-snipe tax
A temporary extra fee on curve buys in the first few blocks after a launch, starting at 99% of the trade in total and falling quickly back to the normal fee. It is off by default; when a launch is created with it on, it lasts 3 blocks unless set otherwise, never more than 60. The creator and up to 32 addresses named at creation pay only the normal fee. See Anti-snipe tax.
Approval
Permission you give a contract to move up to a set amount of one of your tokens. GAMA's app asks for one only when an action needs it, always for the exact amount. It stays in force until it is used or changed. See Token approvals.
Automatic payout
A payment of holder rewards, creator earnings or a protocol revenue share that GAMA's payout operator makes to the account itself, about every five minutes, less a payout charge of at most 1%. Claiming yourself is always free. See Payouts and claims.
Base fee
The trading fee of a standard launch: 1% of every curve and pool trade, 70% to the creator and 30% to GAMA. See Fees.
Batch
Several orders with the same route filled together in one trade, at one price. Each order gets a share of the output in proportion to what it put in, and pays its share of the keeper charge. The app labels such a fill Batch of N orders. See How orders fill.
Bonding curve
The contract that sells a launch's token before graduation, at a price that rises with every buy and falls with every sell. It sells 780,000,000 of the 1,000,000,000 tokens. See Bonding curve.
Burn
Sending tokens to the dead address, where nobody can use them again. A token's total supply number does not change; the app counts burned tokens as burned. See Buyback and burn.
Buy limit
A cap on curve buys while a token is on its bonding curve: by default one buy can take at most 2% of the supply, and a buy cannot leave its receiving wallet with more than 2%. The limits are fixed for each launch, end at graduation and never apply to sells or pool trades. The creator's opening buy is not limited. See Buy limits.
Buyback and burn
What GAMA does with 30% of its protocol revenue: ETH buys GAMA in small rounds, each limited by its own price impact, and every GAMA bought is burned in the same transaction. See Buyback and burn.
Canonical pool
The GAMA DEX pool a launch graduates into, where its locked liquidity sits and its launchpad trades go after graduation. The app calls it the token's official GAMA pool; its type is GAMA launch. It has no LP fee and charges the launch's own fees. See Canonical pools.
Claim
Taking your own balance of rewards or earnings out yourself, at any time, with no charge and no minimum; you pay only the gas. ETH can be claimed as WETH. See Payouts and claims.
Creation fee
The fee for creating a launch: 0.00078 ETH, always paid in ETH, whatever the pair token. It goes to protocol revenue. See Create a launch.
Creator
The wallet that created a launch. Its creator rights, including the right to receive creator earnings at the payout wallet, can be handed to another wallet in one step, or replaced by the protocol owner after three days' public notice. See Creator earnings.
Creator earnings
What the creator of a standard launch receives: 70% of the trading fee and the whole creator tax, in the pair token. A reward launch pays no creator earnings. See Creator earnings.
Creator tax
An optional extra fee that the creator of a standard launch chooses at creation, from 0% to 9%, paid on every curve and pool trade to the creator. See Fees and creator tax.
Credit
A balance in the fee escrow that belongs to one account, in one token: creator earnings, a protocol revenue share or a payout charge. Credits are paid out automatically or claimed. See Creator and protocol credits.
DCA order
An order that buys a fixed amount at regular intervals until its budget is spent, short for dollar-cost averaging. Its funds wait in your order vault, and GAMA's keeper fills each buy. See DCA orders.
Dead address
The address 0x…dEaD, which nobody controls. Burned tokens are sent there. See Buyback and burn.
DEX protocol fee
An optional fee of Uniswap V4 on each swap in a GAMA DEX pool. It is 0% unless the protocol owner switches it on for a pool, and never more than 0.1%. What it collects is protocol revenue. See Pools and positions.
Fee escrow
The contract that holds every fee GAMA collects and records whom each amount belongs to, until it is paid out or claimed. Nobody can redirect a balance that belongs to someone else. See Fee escrow and payouts.
Fee exemption
A setting by which the protocol owner lets an address trade without any launch fee when it calls a curve or a canonical pool directly, on every launch of the release. Wallets trading through the app's routers still pay. See Administration and trust.
Full range
A liquidity position that covers every price, so it never goes out of range. Every launch's locked liquidity is one full-range position. See Add and remove liquidity.
GAMA DEX
GAMA's own copy of Uniswap V4 on GIWA Sepolia, with the pool code unchanged. It holds the canonical pools of graduated launches and ordinary pools that anyone can create. See Pools and positions.
GAMA token
GAMA's own token, launched like any other on an ETH curve, with no free team allocation, and marked in the app with the official seal. See The GAMA token.
Gas
The unit that measures the work a transaction asks of the network. You pay for it in ETH, on top of any GAMA fee, and the network keeps it. See Gas and fees on GIWA in the Gamascan docs.
GIWA Sepolia
GIWA's public test network, chain ID 91342, where GAMA runs today. Its ETH is test ETH, which has no value. See What is GIWA?
Graduation
The moment a launch's curve sells out: the curve closes for good, and what it raised and the 220,000,000 tokens it kept go into its canonical pool as locked liquidity. It normally happens inside the buy that sells the curve out. See Graduation.
Graduation target
How much of its pair token a curve raises by selling out, also called the quote target: 7.8 ETH for a launch priced in ETH. It is fixed when the launch is created. See Pair tokens.
Holder fee
The fee a reward launch charges on every curve and pool trade, chosen at creation from 1% to 4%, and shared among the token's holders as holder rewards. See Launch modes.
Holder rewards
Your share of a reward launch's holder fee, paid in its pair token. Tokens you receive start earning from the next block, there is no staking, and rewards you have earned stay yours after you sell. See Holder rewards.
Hook
A contract attached to a pool when the pool is created, which runs on its swaps or liquidity changes. GAMA's launch hook charges launch fees in every canonical pool; other hooks can change how their pool works. See Pools and positions.
Interval
The time between the buys of a DCA order. The keeper fills at most one buy per interval, at a random moment within it, and a buy that is not filled before its interval ends is not made up later. See DCA orders.
Keeper
An address that GAMA lists to fill limit and DCA orders. Only keepers and an order's owner can fill an order, and a keeper can only fill it within the order's own terms. See How orders fill.
Keeper charge
What a successful order fill pays the keeper for its network cost, taken from the fill and never more than the order's Network fee limit per fill. Failed attempts cost you nothing. See How orders fill.
Launch
A token created on GAMA, together with its bonding curve, its creator rights and its canonical pool. The app calls such tokens GAMA launches. See Create a launch.
Limit order
An order to buy or sell once the price is good enough. It can fill in parts, and every part meets your price. See Limit orders.
Liquidity allocation
The 220,000,000 tokens (22% of the supply) that a curve never sells. They go into the pool at graduation with what the curve raised. See Bonding curve.
Liquidity position
Your deposit of two tokens into one pool, held as an NFT in your wallet. It earns the pool's LP fee while the price is inside its range, and you can withdraw it at any time. See Pools and positions.
Liquidity provider
Anyone who holds a liquidity position in a pool. Liquidity providers share the pool's LP fee. See Pools and positions.
Locked liquidity
The full-range position every launch puts into its canonical pool at graduation. The locker holds it forever: nobody can withdraw it, and only a migration can move it, relocking it at once. See Locked liquidity.
Locker
The contract that holds every launch's graduation position permanently. It has no way to withdraw the position or approve anyone to use it. See Graduation.
LP fee
The fee a pool charges on every swap for its liquidity providers. It is set when the pool is created; canonical pools have none. See Pools and positions.
Market cap
A token's current price times its supply in circulation, not counting burned tokens. It is not money held anywhere, and not what you could get by selling. See The token page.
Market order
A DCA order that buys at the market price within your slippage, rather than at a price you set. Each fill is checked against the price average. See How orders fill.
Migration
A move of a launch's locked liquidity to a new pool on another approved venue, relocked in the same transaction at the same price. Only the protocol owner can migrate. See Migration.
Minimum received
The least you accept from a trade, worked out from the quote and your slippage. A trade that would give you less fails. See Slippage and price impact.
Missed buy
A DCA buy whose interval ended without a fill, for example because the price stayed outside the price band or past your price limit. Missed buys are not retried later. See DCA orders.
Official seal
GAMA's logo, which the app shows only for the release's own GAMA token, together with the Official badge. A copy with the same name and logo gets neither. See The official seal.
Opening buy
A buy the creator can make in the same transaction that creates the launch, shown in the app as Initial buy. It pays normal fees but is not limited by the buy limits. See The opening buy.
Operator
An address that runs one of GAMA's automatic jobs: payouts, GAMA buybacks or order fills. Operators act only within limits the contracts enforce. See Administration and trust.
Order vault
Your own contract that holds the funds of your limit and DCA orders until they are filled, refunded or cancelled. Only you and your orders' own terms can move them; GAMA cannot withdraw them. See Your order vault.
Pair token
The token a launch is priced in, on its curve and in its pool, shown in the app as Paired asset: ETH, or a launch of the same release that has graduated, such as GAMA. See Pair tokens.
Paired asset
The app's name for a pair token. See Pair token.
Payout charge
The small amount an automatic payout keeps to cover its cost: for ETH, 0.000001 ETH or 1% of the payment, whichever is lower. It can never be more than 1%, and claiming yourself has none. See Payouts and claims.
Payout wallet
The wallet that receives a standard launch's creator earnings, set under Advanced when you create the launch. It is your connected wallet unless you enter another, and it holds the launch's creator rights. See Create a launch.
Platform fee
The trading fee of a reward launch: 1% of every curve and pool trade, all to GAMA. See Fees.
Pool
A pair of tokens in GAMA DEX that people swap against, known by the pool manager and its pool ID. See Pools and positions.
Price average
A three-minute running average of the price that every bonding curve and canonical pool keeps. Only the first trade of each block updates it, from the price before that trade, so trades within one block cannot move it. Market orders are checked against it. See How orders fill.
Price band
The 3% either side of the price average within which a market order can fill. While the price is further away, fills wait. See How orders fill.
Price impact
How far your own trade moves the price. It is larger in small markets; before a swap the app shows Price impact, including fees. See Price impact and sandwiches.
Price limit
An optional limit on a DCA order: the highest price it will buy at. Buys wait while the price is past it. See DCA orders.
Protocol owner
The single key that administers GAMA on the testnet. It can change settings for future launches and has a few live powers, but cannot take funds that belong to others. See Administration and trust.
Protocol revenue
GAMA's own share of fees: the creation fee, 30% of the standard trading fee, the reward platform fee and a few others. See Protocol revenue.
Protocol split
The list of destinations, up to eight, that share protocol revenue: today 70% to the treasury and 30% to the buyback and burn. See Protocol revenue.
Reward mode
A launch mode chosen at creation in which every trade pays a 1% platform fee and a holder fee that holders share, from the first trade. There is no creator fee. See Launch modes.
Sale allocation
The 780,000,000 tokens (78% of the supply) a curve sells before graduation. See Bonding curve.
Sandwich
A trade wrapped around yours: someone buys just before your buy and sells just after it, at the price your buy pushed up. See Price impact and sandwiches.
Slippage
How far the price may move against you between the quote and your transaction before the trade fails instead. It sets the minimum received. See Slippage and price impact.
Standard mode
A launch mode in which every trade pays the 1% base fee, 70% to the creator, plus any creator tax. See Launch modes.
Sub-fill
One of several fills that make up one interval's buy of a DCA order, when a single fill would move the price by more than about 1%. The app labels each one part of N fills. See How orders fill.
Suffix 100
The ending every launch token's address shares: the last three characters are 100. It shows a token was made by GAMA's launch factory, not who made it. See Create a launch.
Swap
A trade of one token for another in a pool, or through a route of pools and curves. See Swapping.
Test ETH
ETH on GIWA Sepolia. It is for trying things out and has no value; never pay real money for it. See Connect a wallet and get test ETH.
Testnet
A network for trying things out, where coins and tokens have no value. GAMA runs only on GIWA Sepolia, GIWA's testnet. See What is GIWA?
Tick spacing
The step between the prices at which a pool's positions can start and end. It is set when the pool is created; canonical pools use 200. See Add and remove liquidity.
Trading fee
A launch's first fee on every curve and pool trade, shown in the app as Trading fee: the 1% base fee of a standard launch or the 1% platform fee of a reward launch. See Fees.
Treasury
The address that receives 70% of protocol revenue, the buyback share of tokens other than ETH and GAMA, and the rounding leftovers of graduations. See Protocol revenue.
Venue
An approved set of Uniswap V4 contracts that launches can graduate into or migrate to. GAMA DEX is the current one. See Migration.
Wallet
An app that keeps your keys and signs transactions for you. GAMA never holds your keys; you connect a wallet to trade. See Connect a wallet and get test ETH.
WETH
Wrapped ETH: ETH in the form of a token, at GIWA's system contract 0x4200…0006. You can choose to receive claims and refunds in ETH as WETH. See Payouts and claims.
