Payouts and claims
Everything GAMA holds for someone, holder rewards and creator earnings alike, reaches its owner in one of two ways: GAMA pays it automatically about every five minutes, or the owner claims it. This page explains both, and what each costs.
Automatic payouts
A payout operator run by GAMA checks every five minutes for accounts with money waiting and pays them in batches. It pays:
- holders of reward-mode tokens;
- creators, at their payout wallet;
- GAMA's treasury and the other destinations of GAMA's own share.
These are the settings for ETH on the testnet:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| How often one account can be paid | At most once every five minutes |
| Smallest payment | 0.0005 ETH, after the charge |
| Payout charge | The lower of 0.000001 ETH and 1% of the payment |
| Accounts in one batch | Up to 256 |
For example, a holder with 0.01 ETH of rewards waiting receives 0.009999 ETH, and 0.000001 ETH is the charge. Because the smallest payment is 0.0005 ETH, every automatic ETH payment costs 0.000001 ETH, which is at most 0.2% of it.
The rules behind these numbers are fixed in the contracts:
- To the owner only. A payment always goes to the account that earned it, and pays its whole balance of that asset, less the charge. The operator only chooses which accounts to pay and when. It cannot change the recipient, the amount or the charge.
- At most 1%. The charge can never be more than 1% of a payment. GAMA's admin can change the settings, but not above that.
- Charged only on success. If a payment fails, for example because the receiving contract refuses it, the whole balance stays where it was, nothing is charged, and the other accounts in the batch are still paid.
- Nobody is shorted. If a batch runs low on gas, it stops before the next account instead of underpaying it. That account is paid in a later batch.
For a token used as a paired asset, such as GAMA, the smallest payment and the charge are worked out from the ETH settings at that token's price when it is first used for a payout.
GAMA's admin can switch automatic payouts off. The app then shows Automatic payouts paused, and everything stays claimable. Two balances are never paid out automatically: GAMA's buyback share, which is used only to buy and burn GAMA, and the balances that back holder rewards, which holders receive through their own payouts.
Claiming yourself
You can claim what is yours at any time, with no charge and no minimum. You pay only the gas.
- Holder rewards: in Portfolio, under Rewards, select Claim on the token's row.
- Creator earnings: in Portfolio, under Creator earnings, select Claim on the asset's row.
The app sends the claim to your connected wallet. Claim yourself when automatic payouts are paused, when your balance is below the smallest payment, or when you would rather not pay the charge.

- Automatic payouts: whether GAMA is paying automatically right now.
- Unclaimed: what is waiting for you on each token.
- Claim: pays it to your wallet now, with no charge.
Receiving WETH instead of ETH
Some smart-contract wallets refuse plain ETH. If a claim fails with "Your wallet did not accept the ETH payment.", the app offers Receive WETH instead of ETH. Tick it and claim again to receive wrapped ETH, which any wallet can hold. Automatic payouts are always in plain ETH, so a wallet that refuses ETH has to claim.
Automatic payout or claim
| Automatic payout | Claim | |
|---|---|---|
| Who starts it | GAMA's payout operator | You |
| What it costs you | The payout charge, at most 1% | Gas |
| Smallest amount | 0.0005 ETH | None |
| When | About every five minutes | Any time |
| WETH instead of ETH | No | Yes, after a refused ETH payment |
