Pools and positions
GAMA DEX is GAMA's own copy of Uniswap V4 on GIWA Sepolia. A pool holds two tokens that people swap against, and a liquidity position is your deposit into one pool. This page explains the kinds of pool you will find, what their fees pay for and what you own when you add liquidity.
GAMA DEX
GAMA DEX runs Uniswap V4's pool code unchanged: the same pricing, the same liquidity rules and the same fee limits. GAMA added its launch rules in a separate contract, the launch hook, not in the pool code.
Every GAMA DEX pool lives in one contract, the pool manager. A pool has no address of its own: it is known by the pool manager plus its Pool ID, a 66-character code starting with 0x. Anyone can create a pool or add liquidity. GAMA does not approve pools or tokens.
Three kinds of pool
Open DEX, then Pools. Each pool has a Type:
- GAMA launch: a launch's canonical pool, the pool it graduates into. It charges the launch's own fees, has no LP fee, and the liquidity added at graduation is locked forever. See Canonical pools.
- Ordinary: a pool with no hook. It charges the LP fee chosen when it was created, and nothing else unless the DEX protocol fee is switched on.
- Custom hook: a pool that uses someone else's hook contract. A hook can change how trading and liquidity work in that pool, so read what it does before you use it.

- All pools, GAMA launches, Other pools: show every pool, only launch pools, or the rest. The search box finds a pool by token name, token address or pool ID.
- Pool list: each pool's pair and LP fee, its Type, Liquidity in USD, Volume (24h) and Swaps (24h). Click a row to open the pool.
- New position: opens the form to add liquidity. See Add and remove liquidity.
A pool's page shows its price chart, its Pool balances, a Fee breakdown, Pool details (Pool manager, Pool ID, Tick spacing, Hook) and its Recent pool activity.
What the fees pay for
- LP fee: paid by traders on every swap in an ordinary or custom-hook pool and shared by the pool's liquidity providers. It is set when the pool is created and can never change. The app offers 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.3% and 1%, with 0.3% chosen by default, or any other fee you type in.
- Launch fees: in a canonical pool, the trading fee and the creator tax or holder fee go to the creator, the holders and GAMA, never to liquidity providers. That is why a canonical pool's LP fee is 0%. See Fees.
- DEX protocol fee: 0% on every new pool. The protocol owner can switch it on for any GAMA DEX pool, up to 0.1% of each swap, the most Uniswap V4 allows. What it collects is protocol revenue. When it is on, the pool's Fee breakdown lists it as DEX protocol fee.
The Fee breakdown ends with Total per trade, the sum a swap pays in that pool.
Your position
A position is an NFT in your wallet, from the GAMA V4 Positions NFT collection. It records the pool, your price range and your share of the pool's liquidity. Whoever holds the NFT controls the position, so sending it to another wallet hands over the liquidity and its fees.
- Price range. A Full range position earns fees at every price. A narrower range earns LP fees only while the price is inside it. When the price leaves the range, the position holds only one of the two tokens and earns nothing until the price returns.
- Uncollected fees. Fees a position has earned stay in the pool until you collect them or remove liquidity.
- Your liquidity, always. You can collect fees and withdraw at any time. Nobody else can move your position. Only the liquidity that a launch puts into its pool at graduation is locked; see Locked liquidity.
You find your positions under Portfolio, then Liquidity, filtered by Active, Closed or All. Each row shows the Pool, the Range, the Position value and the Uncollected fees; Manage opens the position. The position value does not include uncollected fees, and positions created through other apps may not appear.

- Active, Closed, All: positions that still hold liquidity, positions you emptied, or both.
- Your positions, with their Range, Position value and Uncollected fees.
- Manage: add to the position, collect its fees or remove liquidity.
Launch tokens and reward tokens in pools
A launch token cannot go into any GAMA DEX pool until it graduates. Until then the app says "This token is still on its bonding curve; liquidity opens when it graduates." After graduation, every launchpad trade of the token goes through its canonical pool, so a second pool you create for the same pair gets none of those trades.
Tokens in a GAMA DEX pool are held by the pool manager, which never earns holder rewards. Reward-mode tokens you deposit stop earning holder rewards while they are in the position. Rewards you earned before stay yours.
WARNING
Anyone can create a pool for any pair, at any starting price and with any hook. A pool can show a familiar name for a token that is not the one you think. Check both token addresses on the pool's page before you deposit.
