Protocol revenue
Protocol revenue is GAMA's own share of the fees. It is divided between up to eight destinations, the protocol split. Today two destinations share it: the treasury and the GAMA buyback and burn.
Where it comes from
- The creation fee of every launch, 0.00078 ETH.
- 30% of the trading fee of standard launches, on the curve and in the pool, including 30% of any anti-snipe tax they charge.
- The whole platform fee of reward launches, on the curve and in the pool, and any anti-snipe tax they charge.
- The part of a holder fee that cannot go to holders: the whole holder fee in the block a reward launch is created, and the share of holders who left during a block.
- The DEX protocol fee, in pools where it is switched on.
Payout charges are not protocol revenue. They go to the payout operations address.
The current split
| Destination | Share |
|---|---|
| Treasury | 70% |
| GAMA buyback and burn | 30% |
You can read the split from the fee escrow at any time. It was 70% to the treasury and 30% to the buyback and burn contract on 3 October 2026.
How each share is used
Each destination's share is credited in the fee escrow.
- The treasury is paid automatically about every five minutes, less a payout charge of at most 1%, and can claim at any time with no charge.
- The buyback and burn share is never paid out as money. Its ETH buys GAMA in small rounds and sends it to the dead address in the same transaction; GAMA it receives is burned directly; any other token is forwarded to the treasury, which anyone can trigger. The $GAMA page shows the rounds, the burns and what went to the treasury. See Buyback and burn.
Changing the split
The protocol owner can change the split, with up to eight destinations. A change applies only to revenue earned after it, including from existing launches. Amounts already credited stay with the destinations they were credited to. The owner can also switch the buyback and burn to a new contract at once. The old contract then can no longer buy, burn or forward anything, and anyone can move its balance to the new one. See Administration and trust.
